Sales & Marketing Director, Stephen Bilboe, discusses the success of recent meetings with our Scottish customers and unveils plans to host new user groups across the UK and internationally.
Back in June myself, Neil Butcher (Product Director), Richard Walling (Senior Solutions Manager) and Tamsyn Andrews (Customer Account Manager) took to the road, heading north of the border to Edinburgh for a two-day, intensive surgery-style user group. At the time, most of the UK was suffering from heavy rainfall, but as we progressed further into Scotland the skies cleared, and we were greeted by some fantastic weather to enjoy the beautiful city of Edinburgh.
Throughout the two days, we had more than ten schools visit for their prearranged 90-minute session. This is the first time we have conducted a meeting in
this format, and we were delighted by the response. For those that could make it, we also hosted a dinner on the first evening at a fabulous little steak and seafood restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh.
The purpose of the visit was four-fold:
• Build and enhance existing relationships
• Provide a strategic update on all things WCBS
• Offer a sneak peek into some of the exciting things we have coming up in
the next academic year for both finance and academic – stay tuned for more
on this over the coming months…
• Provide a forum for any questions and/or feedback.
• This was my first trip to Scotland since joining WCBS and I am very much
looking forward to returning in the Autumn term.
Our intention is to hold further meetings like this across the UK and internationally in addition to our traditional user groups. It would be great to see many more of our schools so be on the look out for updates on similar sessions, which we are hoping to arrange for early in the next academic year.
