Stephen Bilboe’s new role at WCBS has taken off in more ways than most – since joining as Sales & Marketing Director, he’s made sure to be wherever he’s been able to meet up with customers and discuss all things school software.
It has been a busy few months since joining WCBS in January, having visited seven different cities across three continents, flying over 23,000 miles, showcasing our solution at four conferences, delivering a keynote talk at one and undertaking numerous client and partner meetings. All this activity has led to an increase in my coffee consumption but getting to know the great group of people we have working at WCBS and meeting existing and new customers has been an absolute pleasure.
I am delighted to join WCBS at what I believe to be a very exciting time for the business, however, the most rewarding thing has to be the people. Never before have I worked in an organisation with such a talented group all working towards the same goal – “supporting schools in delivering outstanding education”.
We all know that technology is moving fast. With the help of our customer voted enhancements, and schools sharing their continually evolving requirements, we have developed our next generation solution strategy. This ensures schools stay at the forefront of technology and reap the considerable efficiency gains this will bring. We are working hard to implement the strategy, keep your eye out for more on this in an upcoming Q&A blog with our CEO…
These past months haven’t all been smooth sailing, having lost my luggage in Bangkok and coming down with a fever in Vietnam… On the bright side, I did spend a weekend sightseeing and experienced some fantastic cuisine.
It is good now to be back in the UK for a few months and get down to work on all the exciting things we have planned and meet many more of our loyal customers. There is however one person who is somewhat disappointed I will not be going away for a while and that is my son… He was beginning to get quite accustomed to receiving a present after each trip!
