Last Thursday (19th January), we held an all-day conference in the impressive Pelham’s Suite at Lord’s Cricket Ground, and joined by our customers, guest speakers and also a cross-section of our partners.
Despite the very cold weather and rail strikes looming, such a good turnout joined us to hear insights from industry leaders within the Independent and International school markets. They included:
- John Murphie, COO at the Independent Schools Bursars Association (ISBA)
- Freddie Cloke, School Development Manager, ISC Research
- Karen Smith from The Stickman Consultancy.
Also, we were so pleased that a such a great cross section of our partners could be there, with dedicated space for our customers to chat to each one, especially during the lunch break. There was representation from the following:
Esenda Finalsite Inventry ISBA ISC Kinteract Lightyear My School Portal
Our Academic Product Owner, Ian Adams gave everyone a quick tour of HUBadmissions, and Andrea Hare, Finance Product Owner was on hand to give first hand advice about our hosted solutions.
The impressive view across the ground bathed in sunshine provided a spectacular backdrop for the actual conference and also lunch (which was excellent!), and the staff did such a good job looking after us.
“I thought it was a wonderful and insightful day, and hope to see you at another in-person event soon!” remarked Stephen Bilboe, our CEO.
The sentiments were echoed by COO, Neil Butcher, CTO, Antony Woodhams, John Cannon, Sales Director and Richard Walling, Director of Customer Success.
Partner Bingo winner!
Throughout the day everyone was kept busy filling in their partner bingo sheets to be in with a chance to win a Fortnum & Mason Hamper. The winning entry was drawn at the end of the day, but the Merchant Taylors School representative didn’t have to carry it home – we’re getting it delivered soon!
