11/10/2016 13:48:45 | Greg Martin
The latest edition of International Teacher Magazine includes an informative article on managing data efficiently and effectively.
Entitled “Managing your MIS . . . so that it doesn’t manage you!” and drawing on the expertise of WCBS’ Business Development Manager Asia, Greg Martin, it covers aspects such as “Data technology – empowering or bewildering?” and “Making school information management work for you”, plus invaluable comment from Will Percy, Deputy Headmaster at HD Ningbo.
“We set out to achieve a data management system that helps everyone within the school community”, states Will, adding that their new system is helping everyone to focus on individual students and their learning pathways, and what HD Ningbo wants to stand for as an educational organisation.
“Our information management system has become the data core of the school”, Will says, with the ability to give staff a holistic as well as numeric data perspective on each student.
Will also suggests some features that should be considered when schools look to improving their information management system.
