This year’s International Schools Golf Event was held at Yas Links golf course in Abu Dhabi the day before the BSME conference, and was sponsored once again by TIC Recruitment, WCBS International, ISC Research and Warwick-Mann International.

The Yas Links is a bit of a challenge, but all the players, drawn from staff of international schools and representatives of the sponsors put up a great battle, and the eventual winners were well deserved.

Individual winner
Rachel Cashin, Alpha School, Dubai, who also wins the prize for the best player from a BSME school. Brilliant performance on a tricky course with a score of 40 points.

Runner-up
Michael Blakey, Al Mamoura Academy, Abu Dhabi, with 37 points.

Best sponsor player
Richard Gaskell, ISC Research, 33 points.

Longest drive
Patrick Horne, British International School, Abu Dhabi.

Nearest the pin
Matt Ford, Cranleigh Abu Dhabi.

Team prize
Team Gaskell, featuring Richard Gaskell, Michael Blakey, Tony Cashin (GEMS Metropole School), and Ali Peterson (Kuwait English School).

The next International Schools Golf Event is at the Vale of Glamorgan Resort (National Course) on Wednesday 18th July. Details and booking form are available from Tony Child, organiser, headsgolf@gmail.com or any of the sponsors.
