With so much importance being placed on fulfilling customers’ needs now and in the future, the criteria set by WCBS to ensure the right person was found for Head of Development were extensive.
It is, then, with pleasure that we welcome Jason Hiscocks who has been appointed to this important role.

Jason has over 25 years’ experience in software development in technical and managerial roles but more recently he was the Head of Development for a large software vendor providing solutions to the global insurance market, and has specialised in areas very much at the forefront of what is important to WCBS.

Jason has a proven track record of team building and management, paramount when heading up one of the largest departments within the company, (second only to our Support Team) and, as a native Welshman he will be at home in our Cardiff offices when not at Glastonbury. He also has a passionate belief that working closely with other departments will ensure WCBS continues to deliver world class information management solutions for independent and international schools.

Jason’s role is to maintain and advance all aspects of the WCBS software suite. His experience and expertise will add to our cohesive approach to scoping, writing, testing and launching enhanced and new products in line with information we receive from customers, individually and within our user groups, together with the latest technology being developed worldwide.

With the product roadmaps in place, passFINANCE development well under way, and the next release of 3sysACADEMIC already being engineered, Jason commented that he has joined the company at a very exciting time.

“I’m pleased to be part of a warm, friendly, professional environment and looking forward to overseeing development of the entire product portfolio, with help from product managers Nathan Rowe, Andrea Hare and Gethin Nichols,” stated Jason, but added that his abilities on the golf course may not yet be at the albeit low level required by the WCBS team!

Jason is more than ready to engage with customers to gain first hand understanding of the ever increasing needs of schools so please leave your comments or questions below.
