School in China successfully bridging the language and cultural divides

HD Ningbo, part of the Elite K12 Group in China is a bilingual school for families who seek an authentic international education, but with the Chinese curriculum, to provide students with a comprehensive and balanced learning experience.
One of its challenges, however, has been to change the cultural learning expectations of many of its teachers and parents, from one where children are ranked according to academic ability to one that focuses on every individual student’s learning progress.
The school has, over the past twelve months, introduced a bilingual information management system, and part of its function is to record, track and report student performance through a variety of solutions to provide clear understanding of individual progress, and transparency to everyone within the school community, including parents.
